The V&A Museum Trip (15th Jan 2010)

On the 15th January we were all taken to visit the Victoria & Albert Museum in  Kensington, London.  We were asked to go here as our latest project is to design a form of advertising to encourage young people, aged 11-19, to attend the V&A Museum more.  We were asked to ask passer by's and visitors at the museum a variety of questions, based on why they think children don't come and what would make children want to attend the museum more.  We also spoke to someone who was involved with the education side at the museum, who had set us the brief.  We asked her what children enjoy most currently at the museum, what she, and the museum, thought would improve the attendance of young people.

We also got the opportunity to explore the grounds of the museum and take pictures and sketches of particular pieces that we liked.  We were given the chance also to attend the 'Decode' exhibition but due to the que for tickets being ridiculously long no one got the chance sadly.
